When and where is Meltin Margs?

Meltin Margs takes place June 20–21 at the Soldier Field South Lot in Chicago, IL.

What time do gates open and close?

Gates open at 2:00 PM daily. Last entry is at 9:00 PM, and the festival ends at 10:30 PM.

Is there same-day re-entry?

No. Once you leave the festival grounds, you may not re-enter on the same day.

What age is required to attend?

Meltin Margs is a 16+ event. All attendees must present a valid government-issued photo ID.

Will alcohol be served?

Yes. Alcoholic beverages, including signature margaritas, will be available for purchase. Must be 21+ with valid ID to drink. Wristbands required for alcohol purchase.

Where do I buy tickets and what are the options?

Tickets are available on LineLeap starting Monday, March 24.

  • Three tiers: GA, VIP, and Platinum
  • Available as single-day or weekend passes
  • Mobile tickets only; tickets will be scanned upon entry and linked to a wristband
  • No refunds
Are ticket tiers different?

Yes. GA, VIP, and Platinum include different perks — details to come soon.

What kind of bags are allowed?
  • Small clear bags or fanny packs not exceeding 12″ x 6″ x 12″
  • Empty hydration packs are allowed and will be verified at entry
What items are prohibited?
  • Outside food or beverages (including alcohol)
  • Illegal substances or drug paraphernalia
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Fireworks or explosives
  • Glass containers
  • Drones or remote-controlled devices
  • Laser pointers
  • Large backpacks
  • Umbrellas or parasols
  • Lawn chairs or blankets
  • Pets (except ADA-certified service animals)
  • Coolers or ice chests
  • Professional cameras or audio/visual equipment
  • Selfie sticks or tripods
  • Totems or flag poles
  • Bikes, scooters, skateboards, hoverboards
  • Flyers, stickers, or solicitation materials

Polaroid and instant cameras are allowed. Festival security and administration reserve the right to prohibit any item that poses a potential hazard without prior notice.

What should I expect when entering the festival?

All attendees will go through security screening, including bag checks, metal detectors, and possible pat-downs.

Will there be food on-site?

Yes! Local Chicago vendors will offer a wide range of cuisines to suit everyone’s taste, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.

How do I get to the festival?

There is no parking available on-site. Meltin Margs highly encourages the use of rideshare services and public transportation.

Will there be lockers or charging stations?

No.

Will there be first aid?

Yes. Medical services and first aid will be available. Wayfinders will be stationed throughout the festival to assist you in finding help.

Is the festival ADA accessible?

Yes. Please contact us at the time of ticket purchase if you need ADA accommodations.

Can I leave and come back another day if I have a weekend pass?

Yes. Weekend pass holders may re-enter on the second day with a valid wristband.

Will there be festival merchandise?

Yes. Official Meltin Margs merch will be available on-site. More info to come!

Where is Lost & Found?

Located at the Hospitality Tent. Lost items can be claimed through the end of the event on Saturday. All unclaimed items will be donated.

Can I wear costumes, glitter, or LED gear?

Yes!. However, any piece of an outfit or costume that disrupts another guest’s experience is subject to removal at the discretion of Meltin Margs staff.

Can I take pictures or record video?

Yes, with your phone or Polaroid/instant camera. Professional photography and recording equipment is not allowed.
